MP Kartracing Team Claims Three Titles in Karting Champions League Winter Series
The Karting Champions League Winter Series finished in Mariembourg, where MP Kartracing Team drivers secured three championship titles in the KZ2, X30 Junior and Mini categories. The championship was held over two rounds at Karting Genk, the “Home of Champions”, and Karting des Fagnes in Mariembourg, with more than 115 drivers competing across several classes. The Winter Series gave drivers a good opportunity to prepare for the upcoming karting season and gain race experience ahead of championships such as the NK IAME end of March at Mariembourg and the IAME Benelux and Euro Series.
A Competitive Winter Championship
Organised by the MP Group, the Karting Champions League continues to grow, attracting drivers from different countries. The championship had six categories: Mini, X30 Junior, X30 Senior, KZ2, KZ2 Master and Super Shifter.
Alongside the racing, drivers compete for several prizes, including Golden Tickets for the IAME Warrior Final (IWF), complete kart packages with engines and tyres and the opportunity to win a Formula 4 test with MP Motorsport.
MP Drivers in the Final Round
MP Kartracing Team entered the final round in Mariembourg with drivers competing across several categories. In KZ2, the team was represented by Tommie van der Struijs, Milan van Winden and Quinten van Leeuwen. Ludwig Granquist and Neal van de Ende competed in X30 Junior, while Henry Domain and Aron Weeda represented the team in X30 Senior. In the Mini category, Bruce Chirino and Harry Chapman were on track for MP Kartracing Team.
Championship Success for MP Drivers
The finals confirmed a strong outcome for MP Kartracing Team in the overall championship standings.
In KZ2, Tommie van der Struijs secured the Karting Champions League championship, delivering the performance needed during the final round to claim the title. In X30 Junior, Ludwig Granquist was crowned 2026 Karting Champions League champion. The 13-year-old driver from Sweden started the series strongly by winning the opening round in Genk, collecting enough points across the two rounds to secure the overall title. The championship victory also earned Ludwig a Golden Ticket for the IAME Warrior Final, one of the biggest international events for IAME drivers. In the Mini category, Bruce Chirino also claimed the Karting Champions League championship after consistent performances across the series.
Bruce Chirino Secures Mini Title
For Bruce Chirino, the championship added another title to his karting career. Despite finishing third in the final race in Mariembourg, his results across the series, including second place in the opening round in Genk, were enough to secure the overall championship. With the title, Bruce also earned a Golden Ticket for the IAME Warrior Final (IWF) along with a complete kart package including kart, engine and tyres.
A Strong End to the Winter Series
With three championship titles secured, the Karting Champions League Winter Series proved to be a strong start to the season for MP Kartracing Team. The results across the two rounds in Genk and Mariembourg underline the strength of the team’s driver programme as preparations now shift toward the upcoming international karting competitions.
