Double podium during the second round of IAME Benelux for Weeda and Chirino
The MP Kartracing Team enjoyed a highly positive weekend at Ostricourt during the second round of the IAME Benelux Series coming away with a double podium and several encouraging performances across the categories.
Aron Weeda delivered a strong performance in X30 Senior. After already showing his speed in practice and qualifying, where he was classified second overall in, Aron converted that pace into a P2 finish in the final. Teammate Roxanne Lantinga proved her and the teams pace finishing in sixth position, receiving the trophy for the best lady.
The second podium came in Mini, where Bruce Chirino also secured a second place in the final, capping off another strong showing for the team at the French circuit. Together, the results underlined a competitive and well-balanced weekend for MP Kartracing Team, with the squad able to fight at the front in more than one class.
There was also useful experience gained elsewhere this last weekend. In Champions of the Future Valencia, MP Kartracing Team took on the challenge of the international OK and OK-Junior fields. While in DKM the KZ squad showed potential at Mülsen, in the KZ classes.
Altogether, it was an encouraging stretch for MP Kartracing Team: a double podium in Ostricourt, and valuable international mileage in Mulsen and Valencia, where they are looking forward the the FIA Euro round this weekend in OK and OKJ.
